Apr 30-May 1 Fri & Sat–White Cane Days fundraiser–only two days at Grocery Outlet (Marvin Rd and Martin Way). Contact Roberta Pinson or Linda Bucknell to sign up . With these funds, the goal is to help visually-impaired children and adults in the Pacific Northwest regain their sight and self-reliance.

MAY 31, 3pm TAPS ACROSS AMERICA The idea is to play taps on the instrument of your choiice as a way of honoring our fallen heroes. In 2021, Joel stood on his front porch and played his harmonica through a microphone and amp. It was loud enough for the neighbors across the street to hear. NOV 28 — Dictionary Project. This program was drastically scaled back due to the pandemic. But Lion Paul Conroy contacted the schools, ordered the dictionaries and will drop them off per the school’s guidelines. All very safe, and the 3rd Graders will ge their dictionaries by Christms. Thank you Paul for all your work, making this project happen in these unusual times.

DEC 13, 1-3pm Lacey Fire District 3 Christmas gifts for families in need. Sunrise Lions purchased gifts for 8 of the 48 families. Families drive through Fire Station 34 to receive gifts and see Santa on the truck. POC: Kevin Davenport 48 families and 163 kids were helped.
Dec 17, 9 to noon, Foodbank. For almost 4 hours, our members repackaged bulk foods into smaller packages for distribution before Christmas.
DEC 19 9-11am Drive-thru-Christmas Party at Kathy’s office (Imagine Realty:: 8520 Martin Way, Lacey). People drive through to receive gifts of coffee and a card, while being judged for the most outrageous Christmas sweater.
